Terms of Use

Linjoy is a language-learning service designed to help users practice languages through journaling, writing analysis, exercises, speaking activities, shadowing, vocabulary practice, and other learning features.

Certain features may use automated language-processing systems to analyze user-provided content and generate corrections, explanations, exercises, transcriptions, responses, or other educational material.

Linjoy is intended to support language learning and practice. It does not guarantee any particular level of language proficiency, learning outcome, examination result, or other educational result.

Some Linjoy features require an account.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate account information
• Maintaining the security of your account
• Keeping access to your authentication method secure
• Activity performed through your account

You must not attempt to access another person's account without authorization.

You retain ownership of the journal entries, messages, recordings, responses, and other original content that you submit to Linjoy.

You grant Linjoy a limited right to process your content only as necessary to:

• Operate the service
• Analyze your language use
• Generate corrections and feedback
• Create exercises and learning activities
• Provide speaking and transcription features
• Store your progress
• Provide requested Linjoy functionality
• Maintain security and prevent abuse

This permission lasts only for as long as necessary to provide the service or as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.

Your content may be processed using third-party service providers as explained in the Linjoy Privacy Policy.

Linjoy may provide automated or model-generated:

• Corrections
• Explanations
• Translations
• Suggestions
• Transcriptions
• Vocabulary guidance
• Exercises
• Quiz questions
• Conversation responses
• Speaking feedback
• Other educational content

Although Linjoy is designed to provide useful and accurate language-learning assistance, automated output may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, inappropriate, or misleading.

You should use reasonable judgment when relying on generated content.

Linjoy's output is provided for educational and informational purposes and should not be treated as professional, legal, medical, financial, or other specialized advice.

Linjoy may provide certain features free of charge and may require a paid Linjoy Pro subscription for other features.

Available subscription plans, prices, billing periods, features, introductory offers, and trials may vary by platform, country, currency, or time.

The price and billing period applicable to your subscription will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are processed and billed by Apple.

Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are processed and billed by Google.

Linjoy does not directly process your payment card information for these purchases.

Linjoy Pro subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the applicable subscription period in accordance with the rules of the store through which you purchased the subscription.

If your subscription renews, the applicable platform may charge your payment method for the next subscription period.

You are responsible for managing your subscription through the platform from which it was purchased.

Deleting Linjoy or deleting your Linjoy account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

You must separately cancel the subscription through Apple or Google.

You may cancel an active subscription through the subscription-management settings provided by the platform where you purchased it.

For subscriptions purchased through:

• Apple App Store: manage the subscription through your Apple account subscription settings.
• Google Play: manage the subscription through your Google Play subscription settings.

Cancellation generally prevents future renewal. Access to paid features may continue until the end of the already-paid subscription period, subject to the applicable platform's rules.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to the payment, cancellation, and refund policies of the applicable platform.

Linjoy does not independently control whether Apple or Google approves a refund for a store purchase.

Refund requests should generally be submitted through the platform where the purchase was made.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory refund or consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.

We may modify the features included in free or paid versions of Linjoy as the service develops.

We may also change subscription prices or introduce new subscription options.

Where required, price changes for existing subscriptions will be communicated and handled according to the rules of the applicable App Store or Google Play platform and applicable law.

We will not charge you a new subscription price without following the applicable platform's purchase and subscription requirements.

You agree not to use Linjoy to:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe the rights of another person
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Linjoy or its systems
• Circumvent subscriptions, usage limits, or security mechanisms
• Reverse engineer or interfere with Linjoy except where such restrictions are prohibited by law
• Distribute malware or harmful code
• Abuse, overload, disrupt, or intentionally damage the service
• Use automated systems to access Linjoy in a manner that materially interferes with normal operation
• Use Linjoy for fraudulent or unlawful purposes

We may take reasonable measures to prevent misuse or protect the security and availability of the service.

Linjoy and its associated software, interface, branding, graphics, designs, functionality, and other materials provided by us are owned by or licensed to Linjoy and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Linjoy or its intellectual property to you.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use Linjoy for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.

This section does not affect your ownership of your own original user content.

We work to keep Linjoy available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available.

Linjoy may occasionally be unavailable because of:

• Maintenance
• Technical failures
• Network problems
• Third-party service outages
• Platform changes
• Security issues
• Events outside our reasonable control

We may modify, update, suspend, replace, or discontinue parts of Linjoy as the service evolves.

Linjoy depends on third-party services for certain functionality, including authentication, subscriptions, payments, and language processing.

These services may include Apple, Google, RevenueCat, OpenRouter, Google model services, and xAI.

Your use of those services may also be subject to the terms and policies of the applicable third party.

Linjoy is not responsible for outages, changes, or actions of third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.

We may suspend or restrict access to Linjoy where reasonably necessary if:

• You materially violate these Terms
• Your use presents a security risk
• Your use disrupts the service
• We reasonably believe the account is being used fraudulently or unlawfully
• We are required to do so by law

Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we may provide notice before taking such action.

You may stop using Linjoy at any time.

You may also delete your Linjoy account through the account deletion functionality available within the application.

Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation.

Your use of Linjoy is also governed by our Privacy Policy:

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store, share, and delete information.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Linjoy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• Linjoy will always be available
• Every correction or generated response will be accurate
• Every transcription will be error-free
• The service will meet every user's individual learning needs
• Use of Linjoy will result in any specific learning outcome

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Linjoy and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses resulting from your use of or inability to use Linjoy.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including rights available under mandatory consumer-protection legislation.

We may update these Terms when Linjoy changes, when legal or regulatory requirements change, or when we introduce or modify features.

If we make material changes, we may notify you through Linjoy, our website, or another reasonable method.

Your continued use of Linjoy after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by applicable law.

The date at the top of these Terms indicates the latest revision.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operation of Linjoy from Türkiye, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of the country where you live.

Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer law.
